It was a great surprise to find ourselves living within a couple hours drive from some of the most spectacular waterfalls we've ever seen.  A drive along the Waterfalls Way inland from Dorrigo  takes you to the eastern escarpments of the New England region of New South Wales and great deep gorges with waterfalls which are a surprise because they appear in the middle of rolling farmland which suddenly seems to be swallowed up in these massive clefts in the land and from the edge you can watch Wedge-tailed Eagles soaring on the updraughts and thermals.

The symbolism of waterfalls are many and varied. The shafts of white water that cut into the dark cliffs hold signs of hope and strength amid the (apparent) obstacles and barriers we may perceive in our present situation - while in reality the cool healing waters bathe us constantly.
