Hastings Art Trail 2025

Our small  bush garden 'Dingly Dell' with its winding shady path  contains a luscious array of tropical plants  planted some years ago and now maturing. Within the planting Buddha statues sit and stand and lend an atmosphere of peace and tranquility.  

 

As I was experimenting with oil as a newish medium for me to paint with I felt drawn to paint in the garden and everywhere I looked the Buddhas looked back at me inviting me to paint them.

The Buddhas in the Garden series was born and appears as the main theme for my Open Studio exhibition during the inaugural Hastings Art Trail weekend of Saturday 5th July  and Sunday 6th July between 10am & 4pm.
